Bucks County Respite Program (Child and Family Focus)

Bucks County Respite Program (Child and Family Focus)
Bucks County Respite Program (Child and Family Focus)

Description

The Bucks County Respite Program, offered through Child and Family Focus, gives caregivers a much-needed break by providing short-term, temporary care for a child by a trained, approved respite provider — either in the family’s home or in the provider’s home. It serves Bucks County families raising a child aged 3-21, and is meant for families who don’t have other childcare supports to draw on. Note on eligibility: this program requires the child to have a mental health diagnosis; children with an intellectual disability or autism alone (without a mental health diagnosis) are not eligible through this program. Families seeking waiver-funded respite for intellectual disability or autism can contact the Bucks County Intellectual Disabilities/Autism intake line at (215) 444-2847. Referrals are typically made through a mental health provider.
