PA ABLE Savings Program

PA ABLE is a state savings program that lets people with qualifying disabilities — and their families and friends — save and invest money in a tax-free account for disability-related expenses without losing eligibility for federal needs-based benefits. Account balances do not affect Medicaid, and balances up to $100,000 are excluded when determining SSI eligibility. Funds can be used for expenses such as education, housing, transportation, assistive technology, health care, and more. Accounts can be opened online; there is no Bucks County office.
