Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR)
Description
The Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) is a state agency that helps people with disabilities — including autism — prepare for, obtain, and keep employment. Services are individualized and may include vocational counseling, evaluation, job training, assistive technology, and job placement. Core services such as counseling, assessment, and job placement are free, and people who receive SSI or SSDI do not have to complete a financial needs test. OVR also serves transition-age students (as early as age 14) planning for life after high school. Bucks County residents apply through the OVR district office serving the county or via PA CareerLink. To get started, call the statewide referral line at 1-800-947-4941.
